James Sloss Ackerman

Obiettivo del Premio è la pubblicazione annuale di uno studio originale nel campo della storia dell'architettura, senza alcuna distinzione circa il periodo trattato, né la nazionalità dell'autore.

Il Premio è reso possibile dalla donazione di James S. Ackerman al Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio di una parte del premio BALZAN conferitogli nel 2001.

The aim of the James Ackerman Award is the annual publication of an original study in the field of architectural history. All periods are eligible within the field of architectural history, and there are no restrictions as to the nationality of the author.

The Award has been made possible by a donation to the Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio by James S. Ackerman through the BALZAN Prize he was conferred in 2001.

Nel 2011 il Premio è stato assegnato a David Rifkind per il libro The Battle for Modernism: Quadrante and the Politicization of Architectural Discourse in Fascist Italy, che sarà pubblicato nel maggio 2012.

In 2011 the Prize was awarded to David Rifkind for his book The Battle for Modernism: Quadrante and the Politicization of Architectural Discourse in Fascist Italy, which will be published in May 2012.
